This is carefully injected into specific facial muscles to weaken or partially paralyze them. By doing so selectively, the fine lines (wrinkles) created by muscle contraction around the eyes, forehead, cheeks, and around the mouth can be softened or partly eliminated depending on the patient and treatment.
